Volunteer with us: Church Welcomer

The Welcome Team is usually a team of two, who assist the Service Co-ordinator by welcoming, meeting and greeting people as they arrive for services.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Meet and Greet people as they arrive in church

• Keep an eye out for newcomers and make them feel welcome and at ease!

• Hand out service sheets and notices as appropriate

• Assist with ushering the congregation during communion

• Support the rest of the volunteering team with tidying up at the end of service

We ask that you arrive in church 30-minutes before the service at which you’re volunteering begins.

Minimal training is required but you will be required to complete foundation and basic safeguarding training, organised by our safeguarding officer, Rob Coleman.
