Volunteer With Us: Sunday Refreshments

We like to offer refreshments, tea, coffee and cold drinks, after each Sunday Service.

Your Main Responsibilities:

Before the Church Service:

• Turn on dishwasher, water boilers and all equipment

• Prepare coffee urn and teabags/teapots

• Prepare cups and mugs on the countertop, fill milk jugs and fruit squash, lay out biscuits

• Raise the shutters, prepare the cash tray, card machine and refreshments notice

After the Church Service:

• Leave the church service 5-minutes early to prepare for refreshments service

• Serve all hot drinks with friendly service

After the Refreshment Service:

• Clean down the kitchen and hatch, pull down the shutters, put items away and turn off all equipment

• Take dirty tea towels home to wash and return at your earliest convenience

This position is completely flexible and runs off of a rota, with the expectation that you might volunteer every three to four weeks. This rota covers the 9.15am, 11am and 6pm services (If you’d like to join the 8am coffee team, please see separate role listing). Often, volunteers work a refreshment shift at the service they most commonly attend.

You’ll be required to arrive 30-minutes before the service starts to prepare the kitchen.
