Volunteer with us: Service Coordinator

Service Coordinators act as the lead individual overseeing the logistics of services.

Your main responsibilities:

• Working with Welcomers to ensure smooth and safe running of the service in general

• Responsible for fire safety

• Checking that each person with a specific service role has arrived in church and remembered their role

• Supervising safe and orderly movement of the congregation to take communion

• Counting and recording the number of attendees at the service

• Storing the offertory in the safe

• Ensuring the church is tidy and ready for the next service

Service Coordinators should arrive in church at least 30-minutes before the service in which they’re volunteering.

Service specific training will be provided, and volunteers will be asked to complete foundation and basic safeguarding training, facilitated by our Safeguarding Lead, Rob Coleman.
