Volunteer With Us: Open Door Activity Hub

‘Open Door’ is ASE’s activities-based community group, meeting most Thursday mornings from 10am-12pm in the church Welcome Area. All are welcome and free to walk in and join any of the activities on offer.

Our activities range from Dominoes & Jigsaws to Crafts & Drawing or simply relaxing with a paper and enjoying good conversation and refreshments.

The group is run by a brilliant group of volunteers, most of whom sign up on the rota to help once a month, if possible.

Volunteer roles available on the rota are:

Safeguarders

• Requires you to have basic & foundation safeguarding training, on hand to reach out to if any concerns or queries arise.

Helpers

• Welcome anyone who walks into Open Door and encourage them to join in! Helpers are welcome to join in any activity but must keep an eye out for any visitors.

Refreshments

• Bring along cakes and serve alongside tea and coffee throughout the morning. Training will be provided in using all kitchen equipment.

Craft

• Coordinate and supervise crafts and activities!

Volunteers should arrive 30-minutes early in order to help set up and should help clear away after the session. Any training needed is provided via All Saints.
