Volunteer With Us: Children’s Group
During our 11am Sunday Service, children have the opportunity to head down to the Church Halls with our Children’s Minister and a group of volunteers for accessible stories, crafts and fun!
Your main responsibilities:
Watch over the group with other leaders and volunteers
Help with story, craft and prayers
Supervise children with utensils, including scissors
Encourage children to ask seeking questions
Help children to walk safely to and from the Church Halls (Please note that the group may sometimes meet instead at the back of church)
Help to set up and tidy up the space
If you wish, you can get involved with planning the activities, but if this is not your gift then no worries!
Our Children’s Minister, Tony Harris, will conduct any training needed to make you feel confident in the role. You can also shadow a Sunday Children’s Session if you’d like to see what this role looks like in practice.
This role is flexible, and operates on a rota, allowing you to volunteer as much or as little as you wish.
Days on which you’re volunteering, you’ll be needed from 11.10am - 12.00pm.
