Godfrey was ordained in 2019, after a nearly 40-year career in the Law. He served his curacy in Sheffield and is very glad to be able to seek to serve as a part-time, self-supporting minister, in various parts of the ministry offered at All Saints. 

Before ordination, he served in many lay leadership roles on his Christian pilgrimage, including as a lay preacher, Bible teacher and home group leader, Christian ministry charity trustee and as a trained Lay Reader. Much of his legal work in recent years was focussed on supporting the life of the Church and sought to assist in the growth of the Kingdom.  

At All Saints he is glad to support the preaching and Biblical teaching, and Christian discipleship ministry generally. He is keen to encourage growth in the knowledge and love of the Lord Jesus Christ, and confidence in His saving work, especially for those in later life.
